A presentation on the role played by North Queensland miners in WWI, including the technicalities of tunnelling under enemy lines by Ross Thomas - the local mining engineer and history buff who's determination, passion, and entrepreneurship helped secure the first feature film ever to be shot in Townsville. Ross, (executive producer of Beneath Hill 60), will share the story of the journey from the 1914-18 War to the silver screen.
