Location: The Forts - Horseshoe Bay
Join the Trek For Trash team for a VERY different Maggie Island beach clean-up on Sunday 17 July from 9am to 2pm. Meet at The Forts Walk Carpark at 9am and enjoy the walk to The Forts, then on to Florence Bay (on the recently opened track, grade 3 moderate walk which is approximately 3km one way). Then collect and help sort and identify rubbish for the Australlian Marine Debri Initiatve Database, where you'll learn how to identify micro-plastics from a handful of sand, thanks to Ausmap Australia. Refreshments and gloves provided. Then return to The Forts carpark. Remember to bring a hat, snacks and water!
