The Uniting Church and St Margaret's Anglican Church Magnetic Island invite residents and visitors alike to celebrate Easter with the following church services:

Uniting Church

Maud Thursday 18 April: 7.30pm
Jesus' Last Supper with his disciples.

Good Friday 19 April: 9am
Station of the Cross. A quiet contemplative service remembering the crucifixtion of Jesus. We leave quietly.

Easter Sunday 21 April: 9am
Resurrection of Jesus. A joyful celebration of the resurrection followed by a big morning tea and Easter eggs.

Maundy Thursday
On the night before his crucifixion (Maundy Thursday) Jesus had what he knew would be his last meal with his friends. Christians remember this significant occasion whenever they celebrate the Eucharist. Come and join us remember how Jesus farewelled his friends.

Good Friday
On this day Jesus was condemned to death. He was lashed and then forced to carry the cross on which he was to die to Golgotha outside the city of Jerusalem where he was crucified. Come join us as we remember through the Stations of the Cross how this this horrific day in Jesus' life unfolded.

Easter Sunday
Three days after Jesus' crucifixion the women found that the tomb in
which his body had been placed was empty. He had risen and overcome death. Come join us and celebrate this momentous and
joyous occasion.
