Race HQ is at Arcardia Village Hotel on Magnetic Island.
Race start time is 7.45am

The course features a 10km kayaking leg taking you around beautiful Arcadia Bay and back to race HQ. Then it’ off on the bikes for a 25km loop around Horseshoe Bay and Radical Bay and back and finishing off with an 8.5km trail run along the Nelly/Arcadia Trail.

This course takes in the best of section of The Magnetic Island trail network and sticks with our motto of a fun and fast course. It suits all abilities, tough for those racing hard at the front and challenging yet rewarding for all those just out to finish.

We have an “open” paddle course which means we can mark the course on the day depending on the wind. We hope to get you some downwind!

The race HQ is the Arcardia Village Hotel. They offer a great relaxed family environment with plenty of space for everyone and all our toys. They have a pool for the post race recovery along with deals on accomodation and lunch on race day. Please help us support them by bringing family and friends along. They will have live music on Sunday afternoon. Presentation will be around 1pm.

Race start time 7.45am
This will allow enough time to take the 6.30am SeaLink ferry and have a quick transition to race HQ to make the start line. Outer Limits can take skis over from Townsville at no charge but have limited spaces.

The Duathlon will start at 8am.
Duathlon course has a 4km (2k out and back) run leg before taking in the same bike course and last run leg as the Multi-Sport).

Paddle leg Mandatory Gear: Ski or Kayak  – PFD (type 2 only). It’s a good idea to carry water on this leg. It will most likely be a hot day and so think about the rest of your race when planning the kayak leg.

Mountain Bike Mandatory Gear: Bike- Helmet – Repair kit. This bike leg has road, trails and hills. It is tougher then the average 25km bike course so plan accordingly. There are no aid stations on the leg

Run Leg Mandatory Gear: While we won’t make it mandatory we suggest carrying at least 1 litre of water and or electrolytes on this leg.  The course has 2.5km of mostly flat road running and then a technical trail climbing up 200 meters with spectacular views over the island before sending you on the home run down to Arcadia Hotel. There is no aid station on this leg

Thanks and Prizes
With a massive thanks to The Athletes Foot – Salomon and SUUNTO Outer Limits also have two SUUNTO watches to give away to the first male and female solo winners. Second place solo scores a $250 Salmon Hydration vest and 3rd place picks up a sweet $100 gift voucher.
