Magnetic Island Bay Dayz Festival proudly presents the inaugural Great Barrier Reef Film Festival from Friday 9 September to Sunday 11 September 2016, in and around the Arcadia Village Hotel, on Magnetic Island.

The weekend will include

A brief overview of GBRFF
A focus of the Great Barrier Reef Film Festival is to present to audiences a range of feature, historical, documentary and short films. about the Great Barrier Reef region. These may feature it as a location, it's flora and fauna, or relate to living on small islands or near the GBR.

The Festival also aims to engage film industry students, by way of participation, lectures, forums and workshops and provide the opportunity for them to meet with industry professionals in an environment that is conducive to fostering fruitful discussions, connections and collaborations.

The aims of the GBR Film Festival are to:

* Promote an understanding of the Townsville film industry and promote growth to provide opportunities for business and investment within the Queensland film industry within a broad global context.

* Promote a forum for budding film makers, students and film industry professionals to network and develop new projects and innovations.
