We want to help you prepare for the next Adventurethon – Magnetic Island held on 29th and 30th March. This is a GREAT opportunity for Adventurethon North Queenslanders, so best to make the most of this and get ahead in your skills – a great advantage over those not from around the area! Joel (Adventurethon Coordinator) thought this event might suit you/the paddler of your team to help prepare for Adventurethon Magnetic Island.

NQ Ocean Paddle Series (NQOPS) is a paddling event held in the Townsville/Magnetic Island region offering fun and exciting courses for paddle lovers. Suitable for expert, intermediate AND beginners, NQOPS encourages those to come along for the fun, socializing or fierce competition.

For the more serious, you can sign up for their 1-5 series discount and gradually improve your skills and competitive streak over the year.
For the less serious – we want to see YOU encourage others to paddle where beginners and intermediates can join in on the fun with the safe, protected short courses. Remember it’s always good to motivate a mate! This may even get them prepared for a taste of Adventurethon.

NB: Make sure you register online through their website to avoid the late registration fee (on the day fee).

Race1: Battle The Barge
NQOPS is starting off with an exciting race called Battle The Barge where competitors race the Fantasea Townsville barge to Magnetic Island and back (short course also available).
