Please don't drive on the beaches
- it's turtle nesting, breeding and hatching season! (Nov to Jan)
If you encounter a female turtle on the beach please be very careful not to disturb her, and let her nest in peace. Turtles are easily disturbed by light, noise and movement.
Simply call QPWS on 4778 5378 and a assist Rangers to locate the turtle nesting site. This ensures the site will be monitored and protected if it's in a vulnerable area such as near a road or close to street lights.
